Selfless friend and lover of Nature, dear brother of all the beings that move or remain static upon the Earth.
Faithful and dedicated worker; you, who, upon hearing the divine order, delivered your own existence to plant, wherever you passed, the little seed of the greater love.
Dear friend, who did not lose time in asking questions, you only sought to be a humble and devoted servant, seeking to reform yourself each day and reform all those who followed you, trusting in your teachings and in your examples of faithful fulfiller of the sacred order.
Beloved brother, we beg you: teach us to look at our brothers more hardened of heart and to feel compassion for them, instead of keeping resentment for their words and actions against us, as you yourself once did.
Instruct us to not doubt those who bring us truths that we still cannot discern, for our understanding is very limited.
Guide us to understand that which happens around us, so that we may be always ready to serve, just as you did, in whatever way or to whomever, without asking questions.
If possible, grant us a little of the light that you carry within you, of this burning sun that for centuries illuminates the immortal being that you are, so that we may rekindle the light that we carry in us. And, thus, be, by your example, true children of the light and be able to illuminate the paths of those who follow with us along the roads of life.
Finally, kind worker of the Good News, teach us to love, without any distinction, our brothers of journey, much more than we would like to be loved.
For now we learn with you that it is by giving more of ourselves to our fellow beings, by the simple pleasure of serving, that we will be, with this, storing an incalculable treasure in the heavens.
Then, when our hour sounds, even if we are weeding our garden, we will follow without fear, for now we have the certainty that we will be, thus, entering into the eternal life.
Therefore, following your examples of life, we also want to be “an instrument of peace”!
