Selfless friend and lover of Nature, dear brother to all beings that move or remain still upon the Earth.
Faithful and devoted worker, you who, upon hearing the divine call, gave your very life to plant, wherever you passed, the little seed of greater love.
Dear friend, who never wasted time asking questions, only sought to be a humble and devoted servant, striving to reform yourself day by day and to guide all those who followed you, trusting in your teachings and your example as a faithful servant of the sacred command.
Beloved brother, we beg you, teach us to look upon our brothers and sisters whose hearts are still hardened and to feel compassion for them instead of holding resentment for their words and actions against us, as you yourself once did.
Instruct us not to doubt those who bring us truths that we cannot yet discern, for our understanding is still very limited.
Guide us to understand the things that happen around us so that we may always be ready to serve, just as you did, in whatever way and to whomever, without asking questions.
If possible, grant us a little of the light that shines within you, that radiant sun that for centuries has illuminated the immortal being that you are, so that we may rekindle the light that we carry within ourselves. Thus, following your example, we too may become true children of light, illuminating the paths of those who walk beside us on the roads of life.
Finally, kind worker of the Good News, teach us to love without any distinction our brothers and sisters on the journey, far more than we wish to be loved ourselves.
For we have learned from you that by giving more of ourselves to our fellow beings, through the joy of serving, we are storing up an immeasurable treasure in heaven.
So, when our hour comes, even if we are tending our garden, we shall follow without fear, for now we are certain that we will thus be entering eternal life.
Therefore, following your example, we too wish to be "Instruments of Peace!"
